Balance of payments theory including balance of payments accounting and foreign exchange market; theoretical models of fixed and flexible exchange rate systems using both Neoclassical and Keynesian approaches. Historical evolution of the international monetary system. Current international monetary policies and problems. Also offered for undergraduate-level credit as Ec 441 and may be taken only once for credit.
