G 465 Glacial Geomorphology

The investigation of the importance of glaciers to landscape modification and global environmental change via an understanding of their formation, structure, mass and energy exchange, and movement. Erosion and deposition processes will also be examined. This class adopts the process perspective whereby understanding the physical processes provides significant insight into the relative importance of the controlling mechanisms of change. Field trip is required. Also offered for graduate-level credit as G 565 and may be taken only once for credit.
