Phl 446 Topics in Ethics

Topics in contemporary moral philosophy, including (but not limited to) the relation between applied and theoretical ethics, the foundations of moral responsibility, virtues, and the role of outcomes in moral evaluation. Course may be repeated for credit toward major requirements with departmental approval. Also offered for graduate-level credit as Phl 546 and may be taken only once for credit. Expected preparation: Phl 308 or Phl 445.
