Psy 624 Research Design in Applied Psychology

Process of exploring how key social/community, organizational, and developmental concepts shape the conceptualization and design of research in applied psychology. Students conceptualize and construct three alternative study designs employing the relevant concepts. Explore basic design issues such as control, causation, confounding, contrasts, and threats to validity; measurement; and the use of key concepts such as organizational context, social interactions, dynamics, levels of analysis, and systems in psychological theory and research. Also offered as Psy 524 and may be taken only once for credit.
