USP 498 Introduction to Finance and Real Estate
Designed for students seeking the graduate certificate in real estate development who have little or no business education, or for those students who desire a course in basic finance and real estate concepts and techniques. Introduces business finance within the context of commercial real estate. Concepts and techniques will include financial statements, analysis, and forecasting; present value and discounted cash flow analysis, an introduction to real estate valuation measurements; and analysis of performance risk versus return. Students also receive an overview of the legal definitions of real estate and its forms of ownership, as well as an overview of real estate title, contract, regulation, and financing issues.
