Mth 451 Numerical Calculus I
Computer arithmetic. Solution of nonlinear equations. Interpolation. Numerical integration and differentiation. Solution of linear equation systems. Eigenvalue problem, least square, Chebyshev, trigonometric and rational function approximation. Numerical solution of differential equations. This is the first course in a sequence of three:
Mth 451,
Mth 452, and
Mth 453 which must be taken in sequence.
