Comm 545 Risk and Strategic Communication

Examination of the theoretical background and the intricacies of risk communication, with a focus on strategic communication. From health crises to earthquakes to environmental disasters, this course explores several modern day challenges through a series of cases studies and exercises emphasizing preparation/mitigation, audience analysis, message development, communication channel identification, and outcome evaluation.
