Examination of how gender mediates access to livelihoods, lived experiences of poverty, inequality, and other social power relations in developing countries. Analysis of critical development problems using a gendered lens and addressing urgent policy problems in developing countries. Understand how the social construction of gender and materiality of gendered lives impact the experiences of capitalist development in the Global South.
