PA 564 Environmental Policy and Administration
Explores governance of the environment at international, national, regional, and local scales. The course examines federal, state, local, and informal institutions active in addressing air and water pollution, hazardous wastes, toxics management, and the causes of climate change. The course explores different disciplinary approaches for examining environmental policy issues, how policy tools can be effectively matched to specific environmental problems, and how social sciences and ecology can be integrated for effective environmental problem-solving.
