CCJ 360 Victims of Crime

Provides a criminological overview of the study of victims of crime. This includes research on demographic trends, risk factors and individual and social consequences of victimization. The criminal justice's response to crime victims, both historically and more recently, will be discussed in terms of the changing role of victims in various stages of criminal justice processes. Topics covered may include victim advocacy, victimization prevention, and criminal justice-related programs intended to advance the interests and needs of crime victims.
