Ch 221H Honors General Chemistry I
Honors General Chemistry will address the topics of general chemistry with a focus on the urban context and the principles of green chemistry. The course is designed to challenge well-prepared students and will utilize alternative modes of instruction in smaller class sizes. Students will work in groups to address real world problems with the guidance of the lecture instructor. Students should have taken at least one year of high-school chemistry. Concurrent enrollment in Ch 227 for Ch 221H, Ch 228 for Ch 222H, and Ch 229 for Ch 223H is recommended. This is the first course in a sequence of three: Ch 221H, Ch 222H, and Ch 223H.

Prerequisite: Passing at the necessary level on the chemistry placement test within the last year (see Chemistry Department webpage at pdx.edu/chemistry for information).
