ECED 472 Language and Literacy in Early Childhood Education
Understand, assess, and promote language and literacy experiences that support young children’s learning and meaning-making in diverse socio-cultural contexts. Explore how children develop communication skills and abilities during the early years. Build understanding of language development for monolingual and multilingual language learners, including how to choose literature and multi-modal materials that promote inclusive learning environments reflecting and affirming children’s identities.
