Undergraduate programs
The Department of Communication offers programs leading to degrees at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
The Communication major is focused on developing students’ critical and analytical thinking skills, their understanding of communication processes, and their efficacy as communicators. Coursework cultivates these outcomes by exploring communication in conjunction with important topics related to mass and digital media, politics, health, science, interpersonal and intercultural interactions. Students are encouraged to complement their classroom instruction with internships and other applied learning.
