ArH 431U Women in the Visual Arts
This course studies both the representation of women and gender and the art and patronage by
women in various media (painting, sculpture, architecture, printmaking, photography, textiles and mixed media). Explores 19th century and 20th century America and Europe. This is the same course as WS 431U and may be taken only once for credit. Open to non-majors. Recommended preparation: ArH 206 (expected of art & art history majors).
