Ch 553 Surface Chemistry

Introduces students to the concepts of surface tension and thermodynamics of interfaces. The covered topics include interfaces between gas-liquid-solid states. The experimental techniques to characterize interfaces, such as atomic force microscopy, scanning tunneling microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, and ellipsometry, will be presented along with specific applications for semiconductor processing.
