PS 473 Government and Politics of Arab North Africa
Examines the domestic and international politics of Arab North Africa, including Morocco, the Moroccan/Western Sahara, Mauritania, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, and Egypt. Topics include the history of the region, political regimes and authoritarianism, the Arab spring, women’s rights, and U.S.-Maghrebi relations. Also offered for graduate-level credit as PS 573 and may be taken only once for credit.
