Mth 428 Partial Differential Equations II
Solution techniques, qualitative analysis and applications: separation of variables, eigenfunction expansion, Sturm-Liouville problems, Green's functions, Fourier transform solutions, finite difference and finite element methods. This is the second course in a sequence of two:
Mth 427 and
Mth 428 which must be taken in sequence. Prior knowledge of PDEs (
Mth 322) is recommended, but not required.
