Psy 463 Development and Education of Immigrant Children and Youth

This undergraduate seminar course will focus on the development and education of children and youth from immigrant backgrounds, primarily in the U.S. The course readings are selected to be broad in scope but will focus on original scholarship and current research on the education and development of immigrant children and adolescents. The course will cover topics such as acculturation, ethnic identity, school experiences, and major sources of risk and resilience among children from immigrant backgrounds.
