SW 556 Clinical Practice in Integrated Health

The objective of this course is to introduce students to the direct practice of social work in integrated medical settings. Students will gain knowledge of social work practice in medical settings, understanding the intersections of physical health, mental health, substance use and influencing sociopolitical factors. Through focused work on engagement, assessment and intervention students will learn how to work effectively on multidisciplinary teams and develop skills in brief and/or single session work.
