All students who complete the Licensure in Elementary Education Program successfully will earn a B.A./B.S. in Elementary Education and a recommendation for an Oregon teaching license with endorsements in multiple subjects (elementary) and teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL).

The following 112 credits account for the major requirements in Elementary Education along with the general education requirements for the Junior Cluster and the Senior Capstone. For students transferring from community colleges, the first six courses may be accounted for through the completion of the AAOT MTM for education.

Mth 211, Mth 212, Mth 213, CI 116, CI 169, and Psy 311U are prerequisites to the 400-level courses. Students may take either CI 116 or Ed 420 to address the foundations of education content.

ITP 357U, ITP 360U, and ITP 361U are approved Junior Cluster courses under the Understanding Communities Cluster that may count as meeting both major requirements and general education Junior Cluster requirements.

The following courses are prerequisites for admission to Student Teaching 1 and Student Teaching Seminar 1: ITP 357U, ITP 360U, ITP 361U, ITP 409, ITP 456, ITP 458, ITP 459ITP 462, ITP 463,  ITP 464, ITP 465, ITP 466, ITP 470, ITP 473, ITP 474.

Co-requisites: Student Teaching 1 is a co-requisite for Student Teaching Seminar 1. Student Teaching 2 is a co-requisite for Student Teaching Seminar 2. Student Teaching 3 is a co-requisite for Student Teaching Seminar 3. Student Teaching 4 is a co-requisite for Student Teaching Seminar 4.

Successful completion of Student Teaching 2 and Student Teaching Seminar 2 is a prerequisite for Student Teaching 3 and Student Teaching Seminar 3.

Successful completion of Student Teaching 3 and Student Teaching Seminar 3 is a prerequisite for Student Teaching 3 and Student Teaching Seminar 4.
